Chapter Challenge Blog Post

For Chapter Challenge this week I have been working on The Feast.
The part of the story that it is in is just before they seat off for the race.
I think that it is a Super Nover because I tried really hard and I really like
the labels that I added I think that it looks better and it makes more scene then
what it looked like before. My favourite part is the hard boiled eggs. 

1st Chapter Challenge Blog Post

For Chapter Challenge this term we are reading The MapMakers Race, it is really interesting and I am really into it. I decided to do a Creation Station. The activity that I did was drawing the dray I think it looks really cool. 

When I started drawing I decided to draw my horse first, it did not go well. It started to look like a balloon with legs. But when we came back to the mat and the teacher gave us advice then I was fine I searched how to draw a horse and I looked at a picture of the simple shapes of a horse then it started to look like a horse. Then I got on with my dray I was a bit stuck at first but then I got what I wanted. 

The next step was to use an extra thin sharpie on the outline. After that I started coloring I decided to color my horse brown because it matched the colors I was going for. 

I drew my dray with my colouring pencils, extra thin sharpie and a pencil.

I worked with Navanah and Shylah-Faye to draw my dray.           

Visual Pepeha

Over the last week I have been working on my visual pepeha. I really enjoyed

doing my visual pepeha and it was really fun because I really like drawing, coloring 

and that sort of stuff. 

I am proud of my coloring, especially my maunga. I think it looks really good. 

What I found challenging was making sure I put all the photos in the right place and 

not cutting off anyone’s faces. 

I worked with Navanah, Shylah-Faye and Navanah’s Mum to create my whanau star.

First Blog post

Something that has surprised me this week is that we did lots of water activities.
We did relay races in homeroom rotations and we also went on the waterslide.
We played a game called tooty fruity and the rules were
you had to lucky dip a fruit burst out of the
container. There was a piece of paper on the floor and whatever colour you got there was
a sentence that matched your colour and my colour was green and the
sentence was your dream job.
Also we got to eat them after.     

The activity I have enjoyed the most this week is doing water activities.
I liked all of them especially the one with Miss Mac in the partner relays.
