This week I did Emoji Code Breaking.
Mum taught me how to add and subtract in vertical form. Yesterday she taught me how to do addition in vertical form and today she taught me how to subtract. I already new little bit but mum taught the rest. I liked doing the subtracting the best because it was more challenging but all so a lot of fun. I checked all the emojis and answers at the end in case I got any wrong but I hadn't.
I rate my work a Supernova!

First Lockdown Chapter Challenge
For my first Chapter Challenge Task in lockdown I decided to do the paper plane task.
We used Jackson paper plane book which has lot's of different patterns and 4 different styles they are called Stinger, Hunter, Drone and Hopper. We all choose Stinger because Stinger goes far and straight.
We got a broom and put it across the kitchen floor and stood behind it. Jackson went first, mum went next and I went last.
Jackson's plane went 5.11 meters, mum's went 3.13 meters and mine went 5.97 meters.
So that makes me the winner!!!

Learning to Sew!
When I went to nana and pop's on the weekend, we fed out to the steers. Dad and Jackson went over the back and went in the digger but I stayed with nana and pop.
Nana asked me if I knew how to sew (I didn't). So we decided to to make an apron because she knows I love baking. First we got some news paper and measured me so we knew what size to make it, then we got a tea towel and pinned the news paper to it. We cut out the apron and we got a long white strip of fabric.
Now we got out the sewing machine, nana taught me how to use it and I practised on a old pillow case, she taught me how to go backwards, forwards and even how to turn, she taught me how to set it up and load the bobbin. Now I started to sew on the white edging. It was really fun!!
After I had sewed on both sides nana did the arm holes because it was really hard going around in a circular movement. Next we ironed the the strips of fabric over on to the back so that when we sew it on they will look nice and clean.
Now it was time to sew the fabric strips on the back. Nana did the arms again.
For the neck we cut a strap off an old bag. We spent a lot of time measuring it and figuring out what size it shall be. In the end we got there.
Now we had to sew it on, we made a box/square shape and then made an X across the middle to make it stronger, we had to do this on both sides.
We had to iron the neck strap as well because it was a bit crinkled from being in the cupboard for so long.
I love sewing it's super fun, I call my apron a Supernova!!
