Workshop Reflection

 During Term 2 and 3 the Whetū students have had the opportunity to be involved in a range of different workshops.

The workshop that I have enjoyed participating in the most has been the Bean Growing and Dancing.

The new learning that I have learnt is how to make butter in one science workshops with cream. I think it’s a really good skill to have and I really enjoyed that workshop.

What I have most enjoyed about the workshops are how we can decide what to do instead of having to do all of them and that it is now over three days, not just one.

I am interested in learning more about how to use scratch because I’m not an expert but I want to get better.

Letter of the Week 5

This weeks letter was A. I think the hardest part was finding to consecutive letters. I  think my Letter of the Week this week is a Supernova because I tried to present it a bit different this week and every word in my sentence started with A.

Inquiry Term 3

This is my inquiry 'So What?' I created a Poster to show my learning about the question 'Should animals be kept in Zoos?' I think zoos are good places for zoos. Here is my poster. 

Litracy Inv Week 4

 1. Toy, Classroom, Apple Sauce, Cotton Candy.

5. Every line is longer than the previous one. 

6. It’s not like other poems, it’s not rhyming which is different from other poems that I have read. I also think it’s really funny.

Letter of the Week 4

 This weeks letter is H. I think I did a good job even though it was quite hard this week. I love all the colours I used and I think it's a Supernova!

Chapter Chat

This term we a reading a book called Wink. This week for Chapter Chat I choose to do the writing task. The three entries I decided to do were When he found out about his eye, His first treatment and Jimmy Jenkins. I really enjoyed this task and I think it is a Supernova!

   

Whetu Challenge Week 3

This week the Whetu Challenge was to create a cartoon scene. We worked in our learning consolation group. We did the Simpsons and I decided to do Bart. I'm not very good at google drawing so I don't think mine turned out that good but I still tried. My favourite group was the Kermits because everything looked like a cartoon. I think this was a really fun challenge and I would do it again. The hardest part was drawing Bart because the line kept stopping and making a new one so it wouldn't connect. The easiest part was making the background because it was big enough to make all the lines perfect. I think our cartoon scene is a Supernova!

This weeks letter is S. It was properly the easiest letter so far but it was still really fun. I think my Letter of the Week this is a Supernova.
